Facilities
A humble yet lovely two-storey accommodation
Thirty well-fitted rooms in the heart of the Murray — Swan Hill.
Quiet comfort
Built for the road, kept for the road
The motel was built in the late 1960s specifically for the coal trade. Now this historical site looks after guests from all over the country who are after a truly one-of-a-kind Australian experience.
Our greenery and Mediterranean climate were once enjoyed by Aboriginal tribes who roamed the area thousands of years before the first Europeans arrived in 1836. The town sits on the south bank of the Murray River and takes its name from a flock of noisy swans that kept explorer Major Thomas Mitchell up all night at his camp.
Today Swan Hill is the “Heart of the Murray”, where historic landscapes sit as a backdrop to modern streets and beautiful outdoor scenery.
