FACILITIES
a humble yet lovely 2 story accommodation
The motel was built in the late 1960's specifically for 'coal trade'. Now, this historical site looks after guests from all over the country who are after a truly one of a kind Australian experience.
Its greenery and Mediterranean climate were once enjoyed by
Aboriginal tribes that roamed the area thousands of years
before the first Europeans had arrived in 1836.
The town, located at the south bank of the Murray River, was
named “Swan Hill” after a flock of noisy swans kept explorer
Major Thomas Mitchell up all night at his camp.
